3.5in Door Hinge Shim

3.5in Door Hinge Shim

Easy-to-use door shims are a must-have when dealing with doors that scrape against the top of the frame but have extra clearance on the sides. Since the amount of shimming needed for the top (or bottom) hinge can vary, it's often necessary to also shim the middle hinge to alleviate stresses. These 1mm thick shims offer flexibility - you can adjust them to add height or print additional pieces if more thickness is required. To install one, remove the screws from the back of the door hinge, loosen the front screw halfway, slide in the shim, and then secure everything tightly. For added stability, it's a good idea to upgrade to longer screws - at least 2 inches long.
