Thing is a ring born from my current reality. As a young designer based in Glasgow, I'm navigating the world of jewellery design at the City of Glasgow College while pursuing art school opportunities across the UK. Interviews and portfolio prep dominate my days, and with confidence and future plans on a delicate balance, it's easy to get caught up in stress. One interview question left me stumped: "Where do you see yourself in 3-5 years?" The pressure to respond on the spot made it tough to articulate my vision. This ring reflects that uncertainty – a circle cut in half, with multiple smaller circles sprouting from it, symbolizing the varied answers and ideas that swirl in my mind after each interview. These circles also represent how, in high-pressure situations, we tend to focus on the negatives rather than the positives.
