Thing enables users to mount a 3.5-inch device (such as an FDD - Floppy Disc Drive or Card Reader) into a standard 5.25-inch PC Drive Bay designed for mounting DVD-like devices. Post-Printing: The thing is composed of two parts; the “Chassis” and the “Front Bezel”. There are pins designed to hold them together. However, I recommend gluing them together for better results. Instructions: There are two types of .stl files available: two sets prepared for ABS (which include a 0.6% Shrinkage Factor and Tension Release Features) and another set for PLA printing. The .stl file names clearly indicate whether they are intended for ABS or PLA printing. For ABS printing, users can easily remove the Tension Release Features by deleting specific rows in the .scad file under "//printing tension release in 5.25 wall" and "//printing tension release in 3.5 wall".
