3.5" to 5.25" Drive bay adapters - Universal
thingiverse
Human: Universal 3.5" drive adapters mount perfectly in a 5.25" drive bay. The upper row of holes accommodates floppy drives, bringing back the nostalgic grinding noise for those who still enjoy it, while the lower row is designed specifically for HDDs (SSD mounting plates can utilize both).\r\n\r\nStandard 3mm drive bay screws thread directly into the plastic without any issues. However, if a screw refuses to bite or the hole gets stripped out, provisions have been made for M3 backing nuts as a backup solution. To cater to different needs, two models are available: the plain Drive Rail and the Drive Rail - Pockets. The pocketed version features nut capture pockets.\r\n\r\nSince the primary model has fairly long bridges that might be challenging to print, alternate models with less bridging have been provided for easier printing with minimal-to-no bridging required. These models consume more filament but should print nicely on most printers without any issues.\r\n\r\nRails have been tested for fitment in two cases (Silverstone and Thermaltake), but it's possible that they might not work perfectly with every case manufacturer. Your mileage may vary.
