3.5 mm Audio Jack Nut Tool

3.5 mm Audio Jack Nut Tool

After screwing and unscrewing a multitude of 3.5 mm jack nuts while building DIY synths, I designed a screwdriver-esque hand tool that should make the process easier and faster. No risk of slipping and scratching panels/chewing up the nuts unlike with using needle nose pliers, etc. The two small notches on the tool line up with the notches on the nut, resulting in a snug and secure fit. You can choose between the thicker/shorter version and the longer/thinner version of this tool. Both work well, I prefer the shorter one personally. I use the cheapest 3.5 jacks I could find. If your jack looks like mine in the pic it should work. A google search shows the nuts are M6 size, approx. 7.7 mm diameter.
