Here's my console for my expanding openhab home automation. It's built on a waveshare RPi 3.5-inch LCD and a Raspberry Pi Zero WH. You don't need any soldering, as long as you can find a standard micro-USB plug. You can print the main body in an upright position. Passepartout comes separately - I couldn't avoid it, but now you have the option for a two-color design. Update, 17 June 2018: The back lid/door is finally available. I use four neodymium magnets with 4mm diameter and 1.5mm height to hold the lid closed. (I ran out of silver filament, so the lid is black for now.)
