THIS IS A WORK-IN-PROGRESS PROTOTYPE: Verify fit clearances before proceeding to print. This is a 3D printed hard drive bay designed for standard 3.5in hard drives, utilizing bare drives without trays or rails. The door operates a lever arm to dislodge the drive for easy removal. It fits seamlessly into a CD drive bay and attaches in the same manner. SATA hotswap functionality requires a motherboard with AHCI support. Required hardware (lengths are not strictly defined; please refer to files for exact hole lengths): 7 M2x15 screws 2 M2x10-12 screws 1 M3x35 screw CD drive mounting screws (M3) Future plans: If I can obtain dimensions for a cost-effective SATA 22-pin cable, such as this one on eBay (ebay.com/itm/Male-to-Female-7-15-Pin-Serial-ATA-SATA-Data-power-combo-extension-Cable-FO-/291369269696), I will integrate it into the rear plate. This would enhance connector reliability and reduce tweaking of dimensions.
