3.5" HDD Cage Dual 140mm Fan Mounting (9 slots) for NAS Kiet Pham July 10th, 2023 Can house 9x standard 3.5" hard drives and mounts to a dual 140mm fan mounting. Will hold the smaller and thinner Seagate desktop style drives to full sized 22TB helium drives. Important Tips: -Print with standard PLA or LW-PLA -3-5 walls will be fine -5-10% infill using cubic subdivision or similar will be fine (i do not recommend more than 10% infill as it is really not required and will waste material -Supportless design, should be fine to print without supports, but if you do, use Tree supports at angles more than 55deg -You will need at MINIMUM 280mm^2 build plate -You can split this up and glue together using cyanoacrylate (super glue), make sure to split it up in the middle. -Make sure your case internal volume is at least 46x18x36cm, my case is a NZXT H7 -Use threaded inserts for the 8 holes and also toss a nut on the other end just to make sure it doesn't move. I designed it for M3 screws but you can change it up and fit whatever, don't go smaller than M3 though, won't hold up. -Use washers for the mounting -DO NOT MOUNT UPSIDE DOWN USING TOP FAN MOUNTING!!! It will not hold over time, especially if you don't have cooling, my cage with the drives ended up being 7.2KGs so yeah. Mount it using the front mounting -This DOES NOT have any support for vibration dampening, I didn't bother with it but I suggest you add your own for drive endurance.
