Here's a compact design that gets the job done without unnecessary frills. It's a simple box designed specifically to hold a 3.5 inch hard drive, and its size makes it perfectly suited for this purpose. The drive fits snugly inside, preventing any movement. To make installation easier, I added two channels on either side where you can screw in the drive using mounting screws. This not only keeps the drive securely in place but also blocks it further into the case. This design doesn't offer protection against shocks or other accidents, so if that's a concern for you, this isn't the case to choose. However, it does provide excellent defense against dust and tampering. The box itself is slightly larger than the hard drive it's meant to house, which makes it easy to fit into the original packaging when you need to travel with it.
