Some material was also removed for an improved fit. The Bad Practice model is now the final version. This straightforward model serves as a valuable training exercise for students to create a clean design from scratch, without post-R&D modifications. I used to perform this step, but it's unnecessary with this approach, allowing users to utilize the model in their classroom settings. Solidworks 2015 SP3 and later versions are supported. I've included screenshots and the final result. My post-R&D work on this particular model would involve a total of three extrusions: 1. Exporting a single DWG file without including inner round lines. 2. Extruding the common middle section. 3. Creating two mirror lines, one for each side, to mirror the entries and extrude these parts. Alternatively, 3a. Converting the entries and adding a line for the square extrusion feature. 3b. Adding a mirror line and mirroring the round extrusion feature's entries. UPDATE: The first image displays the actual end product.
