A springy clip for use on ¾” sprinkler pipe is designed to locate filament reels on a 3/4" pipe used for spool holders. This item is fully customizable if you have access to SolidWorks - the SolidWorks file is included with the files. Print Settings: Printer: Flashforge Creator Pro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .3 Infill: 50% Notes: The Pipe Clip is a springy clip to go on standard ¾” sprinkler pipe, which has an outside diameter of about 1”. These clips are used to keep filament reels in place on a spool holder made from ¾” sprinkler pipe components. This part was printed in ABS using a Flashforge Creator Pro. The factory file is included with the files to use directly if you are using Simplify3d. Also, among the files is the SolidWorks model, which is fully parametric. The global variables in the SolidWorks file have all aspects of the geometry that allow modification of the ID, wall thickness, clip height, gap where there needs to be gaps to allow the clip to function properly, angle of the tabs, and thickness and length of the tabs. Printing this part in PLA is unknown - it's suspected that the sections that are supposed to move will stick together but perhaps not. The basic settings used to print the parts in the photos were: Layer height: 0.3” Top/Bottom solid layers: 4 Outside/Perimeter shells: 8 First layer speed: 30% Brim, 2 layers, 3 outlines, 0.2mm offset from part No raft No supports Infill: 50%, rectilinear, 45 and -45 degrees (but infill never actually gets used at this size) Extruder temp: 230C, Platform temp: 105C Default printing speed: 1500 mm/min Printing this part faster is likely possible. A slow print speed was chosen to get that first layer right and to help ensure the part would function properly.
