3 & 4 Pin Ethernet Cat5 Curved Cable Combs
thingiverse
After having purchased and used the full set from ChArlie_24 for my PC cables I started to think about the cables running down my wall from my router, which were in a 3D printed chain. I took ChArlie's design and increased the size to accommodate 7mm wide Cat5 cable, then sliced the design in half to make it single sided and also give a flat space for double-sided tape to be applied. I put tape every third comb on the wall, 2" between each comb. I used a torpedo level to make sure they stayed straight down the wall. I made my clips just slightly larger than 7mm in order to accommodate the little power wire I snuck in behind the red wire in my setup. That keeps them from sliding down. If you don't have a power cable like that to deal with then you'll probably want to shrink these 1 or 2 percent before printing. As far as tricks with the settings go... just as ChArlie outlined in his design you need to print the turns vertical and tilted 45 degrees (see my screenshot) with Brim adhesion and normal supports. The 45 degree elbow needs to be tilted to 30 degrees and printed the same as the 90 degree turns. The combs need to printed on their sides for strength but can be printed with Skirt adhesion which keeps you from having to shave off the Brim plastic. As I add more configurations I will post them here.
