3/4 4V Geodesic Dome
thingiverse
All credit goes to Simhopp for laying the foundation of this project, and he deserves a huge round of applause for doing the heavy lifting math-wise! I can only imagine how challenging that must have been. Be sure to check out his page and show him some love! The idea of adding a canopy in the shape of a 3/4 dome is pure genius, especially during the scorching summer months. My contributions were taking it up a notch by designing the bottom row of 1/2 connectors along the edge, which adds an extra layer of functionality. I also made sure to solidify the bottom connectors so you can attach any type of pole into them with ease. If you're dead set on using Simhopp's pole attachments, simply pop those holes back into the #4 connectors at the corners - it's a breeze! To make things even more seamless, I created an assembly chart to guide you through the process. Don't forget that the length of your arms will depend on your scale, so any calculator will come in handy when making calculations. This is version 1.0, and we're eager to hear your feedback - please don't hesitate to make adjustments as needed!
