The Whirling Slime represents the type of slime-monster that can be found in dungeons in any fantasy realm, and in the far reaches of space: a semi-sentient blob of hunger and fury that lashes out at opponents with whirling pseudopods. Since such creatures often break into smaller copies of themselves when attacked, the Whirling Slime is presented with several different sizes available to print, from really big to really tiny. Furthermore, with different paint jobs it can be used to represent many different subspecies of slime monster. Dark-Platypus Studio specializes in making models for role-playing game enthusiasts. Our models are designed to be printed in 28mm scale, the perfect size for Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, or other games that are often played on a 1” grid. They are also designed to stand up to actual tabletop use: no ridiculous spindly bits that look awesome but are going to break the first time someone sneezes. Paintability and ease of assembly are also important concerns to our design aesthetic. The Whirling Slime was created as part of the Slimes! Kickstarter. It is designed to be generic and utilitarian, to serve many different slime needs.
