2x4 Outdoor Barstools
thingiverse
I just moved back into an apartment complex from a house that was completely unfurnished. The kitchen boasted a massive granite countertop with a non-standard bottom measurement of 31 inches, leaving me with two options: shell out around $150 per adjustable barstool or roll up my sleeves and build my own. I decided to go the DIY route and came across an online design that caught my eye. It was time to create a CAD package to guide me through the construction process. All credit for this fantastic design goes to Pete, whose website can be found at http://www.diypete.com/how-to-make-bar-stools/. I dove headfirst into building a set of these barstools and was thrilled with the results. I wanted to share my CAD package and models with others since they proved to be incredibly valuable during the build process. After putting in the time and effort, I estimated that I spent around $150 on materials to craft four sturdy barstools. Not only did I save a significant amount of money, but I also had an absolute blast doing it. These barstools are quite substantial, with each one weighing approximately 35 pounds, give or take a few pounds.
