2x4 folding hammock stand
grabcad
A foldable hammock stand crafted from sturdy 2x4s and 4x4s can be easily stored away when not in use. By simply pulling a single pin on each side of the stand, the entire structure folds up neatly. The stabilizers' folding points are cleverly designed as hinges, while the midpoint of the hammock also features a hinge for effortless folding. Although this drawing lacks a few crucial connection points at the bottom to the uprights, it serves as an excellent proof of concept. Interestingly, this design bears striking resemblance to Miroslav Klimes' model, which I had seen prior and used as inspiration to create my own foldable version. After drafting this idea two years ago, I'm finally sharing it with you today.
