2x3 Overflow
thingiverse
I designed this for my 35-gallon reef tank, teaming up a powerhead to help when moving things around and stirring up the bed. This way, I can turn off my main filter (Eheim Pro3) and let this filter pull suspended material out of the water column. I use a 375-GPH powerhead on the bottom mounted upside down to draw water through the filter back into the tank. You'll have to drill your own hole to suit your specific brand of powerhead. I use six layers of fine filter floss for filtering without carbon. If your powerhead has an air adapter, use it because the bubbles produced are very fine and you can mount it at a height that removes protein from the water as well as surface skims. Saltwater fish aren't crazy about bubbles, so I don't use it for extended periods of time. I designed this to be pretty thick for durability. Good luck, and I'm open to suggestions for improvement.
