2V Geodesic Dome Hubs
thingiverse
These are hubs for a 2v Geodesic Dome. I used drinking straws with a diameter of 5.5mm to form the struts, ensuring accuracy in angles down to 0.1 degrees. For a hemispherical dome, you'll need six five-point hubs, ten six-point hubs, five left-hand side four-point hubs, and five right-hand side four-point hubs. Additionally, you will require thirty-five long struts, similar in length to full drinking straws, and thirty short struts that are 88.4% as long as the long struts. To scale up or down using straws of different diameters, divide by 5.5mm and multiply by your desired diameter. At smaller scales, supports may not be necessary.
