Hello.Hope you're good!Required extras -4x Penn Elcom 2U rack strip with square holes 2mm thick part no: R0863/2MM-024x M5 20 or 25 mm bolt 4X M5 Nut and washer16x Cage Nut16x M6 Bolt (15mm reccomended) CA Glue (super-glue) - I used screwfix's own "no nonsense" brand and 50g was more than enoughSome clamps for glueingFoam for inside of the Peli Air 1535 (I used shadowfoam, one sheet of 30mm did it nicely with lots left over)Spray adhesive for attaching the foam to the PeliHere is a 2U (and a little bit extra) rack sleeve that fits inside a Peli Air 1535 that hopefully won't fall apart and is printable on an AnkerMake M5 / Ender 3 sized printer (If you have the patience for it)I've made it specifically for an iConnectivity Playaudio1U system, but it will work for lots of other things as well. This will need to be printed on 100% infill and at least PLA+ to stand any chance of surviving. Don't bother doing it any lower infill unless to test any changes in dimensions you make.I've included an STL of the 2U rack strip for reference on any edits you might make, please don't print it though.Assembly should be fairly obvious, the front pieces have enough overhang for the PA1U knobs to not stick out, whereas the rear pieces lip is slightly shallower. Print the middle parts twice per side (4x total front and rear). Apply superglue well on all the joins (wear gloves as it will get messy) then clamp together for a few hours to let set. There's an additional brace piece which can join to the front and rear side pieces if you feel it needs it.Once you're happy with the set of the glue, bolt the 2U rack strips to the OUTSIDE of it and off you go.It will sit on the wheel arches of the Peli and the lid will close, foam the Peli to your taste bearing in mind where the weak points will be. If you feel its too close to the lid of the Peli then adjust dimensions to suit your taste, I've just gone for the maximum as it stands.I haven't fully road tested this yet so cannot guarantee longevity, proceed with caution, but initially it's feeling strong to me.If you have a large enough 3D printer, consider printing as one piece for extra strength. I sadly don't. Print time on the AnkerMake M5 at 100% infill, full speed 500mm/s took around 3 days. It was done on 3x 1KG reels of eSun PLA+ with some to spare on each reel so should weight under 3KG if it works like that.In the rack pictured, I have used my Universal Audio Apollo Twin Mounting Kit which you can find on my profile should you need it.Let me know how you get on with it and good luck, I hope this can work for you!EnjoyJamie xx
