2nd Gen Tacoma Low Profile Ditch Light Bracket
thingiverse
Low-profile ditch light bracket designed for 2nd Gen (2005-2015) Toyota Tacoma owners, mounts directly to the hood hinges using factory hardware. I printed this bracket at an 80% infill with a tri-hexagon pattern on my Ender E3 and it has proven strong enough for its intended use. When installed, the mounting location provides approximately 1.5 inches of horizontal clearance between the windshield's center point and the bolt hole when the hood is raised. It is essential to choose lights that fit within this space. For optimal results, print using a durable plastic material such as ABS or PETG. I initially printed one bracket from PLA, but it has held up well despite initial reservations about its suitability for outdoor use. UPDATE: However, my first PLA-printed bracket began to sag under summer temperatures, causing the lights to tilt sideways. Subsequent prints in ABS with a 0.8mm nozzle, two walls, and 30% infill have withstood the heat without issue.
