3D Printable 2GT Pulley Teeth Increaser. Used to increase the number of teeth on a 2GT pulley. Parametric via OnShape.com Useful because bigger pulleys are very expensive or when you need a very specific number of teeth or belt width. Versions: 3 Versions are available: - Increaser No Flanges: Simple increaser without any flanges. - Use for test prints - Use if you don't need flanges - Increaser: Increaser for smaller pulleys. - Use when the body diameter is larger than the teethed part. - Use when the New Teeth Nr is close to the Original Teeth Nr. - Increaser Large: Increaser for larger pulleys. - Use when the body diameter is smaller than the teethed part and the New Teeth Nr is not too close to the Original Teeth Nr. Examples: A few example STLs are downloadable. The STL file name includes a series of numbers. These are the following parameters in order: - Pulley Body Diameter (the tube, not the teeth) - Pulley teeth width in millimeters. - New pulley teeth width in millimeters. - Pulley number of teeth. - New number of teeth. Customization: If you need more sizes, create yourself a free OnShape.com account and edit your own parameters and export your new STLs. Tips: - Use a fine print head, maximum 0.4mm. - Use maximum 0.35mm line width. - Use a low acceleration value for higher details. - Use a low speed. - Use a layer height of 0.16mm maximum. - Print Outer Wall before Inner Wall. - Use 3 Walls minimum. You must use calibrated X-Y compensation (name varies with slicers). - Contour Compensation affects the outer teeth (the fit on the belt). - Hole compensation affects the inner teeth (the fit on the original pulley). Example values on the Bambulab X1 : - PETG: - X-Y hole compensation: 0.075 mm - X-Y contour compensation: -0.06 mm - Elephant foot compensation: 0.06 mm - ABS: - X-Y hole compensation: 0.02 mm - X-Y contour compensation: 0.00 mm - Elephant foot compensation: 0.06 mm Test Print: Always make a test print in order to test the belt grip. A good print will give you a grip as good as the original pulley. You may use the "Increaser No Flanges" to create your test print STL. Note: The precision requirement are such that a 30 to 40 teeth test print in PETG gave me a good grip when tested before mounting on the pulley and became bad once mounted. This is because my X-Y hole compensation was too low giving me a pulley fit too tight therefore slightly increasing the outer diameter of the print once mounted! Example Projects: I included 2 example projects for the Bambulab X1: ABS and PETG. These projects include settings for a print with good belt grip. ...Cheers :)
