Human beings know the 2EC6 Sinara as the (2-number of sections, E-electric locomotive, C-sectional, 6-model number-sixth series)-a two-section eight-axle main electric locomotive operating on DC voltage at 3 kV with collector traction motors. Since 2006, these engines have been produced in Verkhnyaya Pyshma by the Urals Railway Plant of the Sinara Group. As of May 2018, no fewer than 770 units from this series were manufactured. The ownership of all locomotives has been transferred to Russian Railways; a large majority operate within Ural regions and others are seen on the October Railway line.
