2D to 3D Marilyn Sketch
thingiverse
I captured a screen grab of Marilyn Monroe's iconic pose from "The Seven Year Itch", which produced a high-quality .png file. This image was then uploaded to the free converter site Convertio.co and instantly converted into a crisp .svg file. The resulting file was imported into TinkerCAD, where it appeared in massive scale, so I skillfully resized it while holding down the Shift key to maintain perfect proportions. With precision, I raised her 2 mm and carefully slid a 3 mm sheet under her, and then grouped them together seamlessly. This new creation was saved as an stl file with ease. In the Slic3r program, I expertly set the surface pattern to "Rectolinear" to avoid any distracting patterns that might compete with the design's clean lines, much like the Octagram Spiral pattern would have done. When it came time to print, I delicately applied a bold stroke of red fingernail polish to her lips for a vibrant finishing touch.
