Today I decided to buy a 2D bubble level indicator to ensure that the holes are perfectly directed upwards while drilling eight holes in the ceiling, so I also designed and printed a mounting for it. The mounting is fixed with an M3 button head screw, while the bubble leveller is attached by 10mm Spax type self-drilling screws (3mm diameter). After two attempts, I finalized these dimensions. Soon, I will share a design for a capsule bubble level as well - I'm assuming the German term 'Dosenlibelle' is accurate. The inner diameter is tailored for a Bosch uneo maxx; simply adjust the mounting bracket dimension if your drill requires a collar mounting bracket of a different size than 35mm. This setup works just as well for drilling into the ground as it does in the ceiling. However, for drilling into walls, you'll need only one level indicator perpendicular to the drilling axis - that is, rotated 90 degrees around y. Give this a try and have fun! Remember: I've enlarged the space of the M3 nut and the rim around it to prevent the design from breaking at the same point where my previous version did (visible in the photo). Update: My bubble level indicator finally arrived, but unfortunately, it's only usable with the bottom facing down. So, unfortunately, it's not suitable for overhead drilling in the ceiling. On the bright side, I've successfully tested this design and found it works beautifully - you'll just need to pause drilling before reading the levels, but that really helps avoid hitting anything at a right angle.
