2D/3D Parametric Moon Shelf for 3D Printer/CNC Router/Laser

My spouse discovered this image on Pinterest and immediately requested one for our home:\r\nhttps://i.pinimg.com/originals/81/50/4e/81504e8454e1d60c73e0daf83650b0e4.jpg\r\n\r\nI designed a 2D version using my CNC router and created a 3D model to visualize the changes as I adjusted parametric values. A small printed version of it became a delightful addition to my daughter's fairy garden, showcasing her love for tiny furniture. However, the shelf size required by my spouse necessitated cutting it into two pieces, exceeding the capacity of my router's bed. On the bright side, this allowed me to experiment with CNC joints and settle on a bulb joint after studying an example (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:714413/). The entire project was crafted from 3/4" glue-laminated wood panels sourced from Lowe's, measuring 12" x 52" in total.\r\n\r\nSome of the panels had previously been painted white but I decided to sand them all down and apply three layers of Polyshades in a rich espresso finish. Please note that the online Customizer is incompatible with 2D files, so only use it for customizing the generated 3D .stl model. For 2D modifications, download the .scad file, make your desired changes, and export in your preferred format. I've included the .svg files I created (using the split version).
