2B cleaned up with YoRHa Baseplate
thingiverse
I fine-tuned this model in Maya, correcting issues like fingers and skirt details, and discovered that the Maya to STL conversion process is quirky, resulting in miniature pieces at odd angles. To bring it to life, I printed this design at a whopping 900% scale, yielding an impressive 180mm tall figure. Challenges arose when attempting to print the entire model as one piece; instead, I segmented it and added pegs for seamless assembly. By printing the legs and head upside down, I minimized post-printing cleanup. Meanwhile, I successfully printed the torso upright with only a minimal support ring around its skirt edge and none in the center. A minor gap persisted between the legs and torso, but a simple circle of cardboard from a Poptart box was sufficient to bridge it. If printed separately, you can position 2B anywhere on the baseplate.
