This is a printable texture that you can use to press into cheap dollar store foam core and create a rock texture, providing a more solid alternative to bunched up tinfoil. I opted for this texture because it's less wasteful than traditional methods. I began with a high-quality rock texture image from ShareCG: http://www.sharecg.com/v/9604/related/6/Texture/Rock-Face-Texture Next, I converted the image to 24-bit BMP using Paint.NET: https://www.getpaint.net/ To create a 3D mesh from the black and white image, I used Sketchup Make 17.2 with two essential extensions: tt_lib² and Bitmap Mesh. Update: Unfortunately, pressing this texture into foam core results in a stipple pattern with too much detail to be effective. I'll be using the Bumpy script for Sketchup to create a new item instead.
