28mm Scale Coracle
cults3d
This is a versatile 28mm scale coracle, perfectly suited for use in tabletop RPGs like Dungeons & Dragons and Pathfinder, as well as historical wargaming. Coracles are small boats originating from Celtic cultures; they were constructed using a lightweight framework of laths and wickerwork, covered with hide - remnants can still be spotted in Wales. They're light enough to be carried by one person. This item includes four files: Two versions of the coracle itself - one is designed for waterline use, while the other shows the complete vessel; both will sit on a tabletop with a figure inside, although the complete one wobbles slightly more due to its design. The complete version can also be used as general scenery for Celtic villages, stacked up outside a hut or piled up by the waters' edge. In contrast, the waterline model is very thin at the bottom but will not show this once placed on the table. A coracle bench that can be glued into place - it's easier to paint the hull and bench separately before gluing them together. A paddle completes the set. Printing the bench and coracle hulls in an upright orientation with a brim and supports touching the build plate yields the best results; this will result in minimal supports and optimal detail. Printing at 0.8mm layer height and a slow speed on an Ender 3 produces the desired effect. The figure in the photo serves as a scale reference; it's actually one of Dutchmogul's excellent tavern patrons, depicting a fisherman with a rather gloomy expression
