28mm pole bracket for filament storage box
thingiverse
I had some leftover 28mm wooden pole from a previous project, so I modified Jason Harper's brackets to fit it perfectly. To make them work seamlessly, I designed back plates that double as washers and countersink for the wood screws I already had on hand. Each back plate also features a label clearly indicating what's inside. The designs are ready to go for PLA, ABS, PET-G, and Flex, with an additional option featuring a blank back plate. I created a smaller version of the bracket that can easily hold up to 5kg of filament, making it a faster print than the original design. Don't forget to drill holes into the container itself - these types of boxes are prone to cracking if you screw directly through them. To keep your spools stable, pour silica gel pellets into the bottom of the box instead of using containment, which can weaken their effectiveness. You can also print straight from this storage box by simply opening the lid or use a clever hack found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2172384
