The JAS 41 Vampyren is a homage to SAAB aircraft and stealth fighters like the F-22 Raptor. Vampyren - or the "Vampire" is envisaged as a hypersonic stealth fighter as an alternative timeline SAAB might have produced. It features the classic JAS delta wing configuration with forward canards, removable landing gear, three internal missile bays, and vectored thrust. The cockpit is sized for our 28mm pilots and the aircraft has a variety of mechanical features to make it a more exciting: Movable engine nozzles (convergent or divergent to 32 degrees) Openable cockpit canopy Removable landing gear Removable missiles Open or closed Weapons Bay door options (default open) The assembled aircraft is 12.5" long or around 31.5 cm in length. Of course, it can easily be scaled up from 28mm to 30, 32, 35 or 40 milimetres or whatever scale your printer will allow!
