28mm D&D Flatbed Mine Wagon
thingiverse
This is a pair of 28mm minecarts designed for use with Melebam's excellent OpenLock dungeon railtrack, approximately 18mm gauge between inner rail sides, found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3654616. One problem I've encountered with various dungeon or mine rail tile systems is that the mine wagons are impressive but not designed to hold figures. These minecarts can hold two figures on 25mm bases each, allowing for exciting underground chases and combats with characters and monsters riding the wagons while they fight. There are two variants available; a flatbed design and one with a low lip. The wheels fit into recesses under the wagon and are secured by gluing the clamps in place. The clamps and bodies should print with a brim, but don't require supports. I found the wheels challenging to print well - they work best on my Ender horizontal 3D printer using a layer height of 0.04mm, light supports, and extra thick shells for added strength. I might design more types if there's sufficient interest or create versions that work with different gauges of track if you let me know the internal width between the rails. The figure in the photo is included to give you an idea of scale; the rail track is Melabam's, modified by the edge piece I designed to conceal the OpenLock ports, found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3831132.
