28mm Bar Stool and Chair Gluing Jig

** First published model warning ** I printed multiple copies of the [Curufin](https://www.thingiverse.com/Curufin/about) bar stools and chairs, and I needed a way to quickly and consistently glue them together. I created a jig in OnShape. _ I may design jigs for Curufin's other models. _ ## Usage I find it best to put a couple of bar stool tops in the jig with the bottom facing up. Then apply a drop of CA (superglue) on a couple of bar stool bottoms. Bring the parts together, press toward the back of the jig and or press it down on your work surface. For the chairs it's pretty much the same. Just check the fit of the chair back in the cutout at the bottom before you try to glue anything. I have a bit of an issue with elephant's foot on my printer so I had to shave just a bit off the sides to make the chairs fit well. ## Customizing I imported the original chair models into OnShape and used those to design the part. I adjusted the clearances to the chairs I have printed. If my model does not fit your prints well, you could try: 1. Adjusting the x/y scale in your slicer by a few percent to get a bit more or less clearance. 2. Customize it in OnShape You can find it [here](https://cad.onshape.com/documents/59ca1ef9f47b159de122b007/w/5210f9f10aa8442bfff1e106/e/b25ba5a11830233475ddf9ed) (you will have to have an OnShape account to customize it.) I used variables in the design, you will find them in the "Features" window directly under the planes. - # xy_clearance - clearance around the model in the x/y directions, default: 0.4mm. I found that I need much less z clearance than x/y so I split them up. - # z_clearance - clearance around the model in the z direction, default: `#xy_clearnace/4` - # count - the number of jigs in the model, default: 2. I planned on printing 4 or 6 wide but after printing it 2 wide to test I found that 2 was plenty enough stressful to use. Superglue is fast!!! 3. I would be glad to try to help out. Please try to contact me through Thingiverse but be patient. I'm not sure how notifications work and how quickly I'd get them.
