28BYJ-48 Step Motor Axis
thingiverse
Here is a start of a laser measuring tool. The Arduino code is included, but it just moves the carriage around by use of a pot connected to Analog 2. The Arduino code does not use any libraries; I created the library for the motor as per the specification. The code can do half and full steps. This is a very slow-moving motor, but it's still cool to play with. The SCAD file is made for the motor in the subject, some sanding may be required if the printing is done too fast, but the motor is a tight fit. I needed to press mine in; that's why there's a hole under it, allowing you to push the motor out. This is version 2 of my attempt, and it's a good one. When the cart belt attachment is lined up with the card, there's less stress on the motor and pulley to pull the cart back and forth.
