This is a model that I created from a white paper titled "Broadband mm-Wave Microstrip Array Antenna with Improved Radiation Characteristics for Different 5G Applications" by Mohsen Khalily, Member, IEEE, Rahim Tafazolli, Senior Member, IEEE, Pei Xiao, Senior Member, IEEE, andAhmed A. Kishk, Fellow, IEEE (http://epubs.surrey.ac.uk/846719/1/Microstrip%20Array%20Antenna.pdf)This paper explores the techniques of patch arrays by a single element, then dual elements, and for a linear arrangement of 16 patch elements. It also compares against other existing papers for performance for the 25 to 30 GHz range. The overall result is impressive with 5.37 GHz of bandwidth, 19.88 dBi of gain (97.28 x) , 86% radiation efficiency, 5% 3dB beam width, and low complexity.Edge launch connectors are Rosenberger Right Angle 50Ω PCB Mount 2.4mm (APC-2.4, OS-50) Connectors, Solder Termination (p/n: 09K243-40ME3) good to 50 GHz.
