Pressure ... The FINAL Frontier? Shared for those who appreciate that if we can make it work under water, then we can next make it work in-orbit. Here's the latest addition to our water-obsessed, electronics support projects. Designed to readily accept 1" circular power plants, motor mounts, DIP control centers, and other payloads. Concept Decidedly a "lego" approach, the idea is that we can independently seal-off our power plants, ballast/pressure/flotation chambers, and payloads so as to plug them together in-the-field, as well as in the lab. Design * Fits a common "C" Cell Battery, * 18650.stl is an electrical bulkhead bus strategy, using the same. * The 4mm overlapping clip-area works great with gaskets, o-rings, and greases. Caveat polymer. * Tested to 20' without a leak, as-is. Should do 40? * We use a flat blade (read 'dull pant scraper') to pry them apart the first few times while wearing proper eye, finger, and squishy-human body protection. Also keeps toys, tech, and those miscellaneous 'tasties dry in our pockets and tool boxes as well. p.s. While epoxy is great for potting things, when it comes to buoyantly supporting our 'tech, note that "Great Stuff" is worthy of its name: Drill holes in the bulkhead joiner (either "Cap" / "JoinWalled", above) for overflow/expansion, then pipe in the same around your wires.
