25mm Linear Bearing
grabcad
I've been working on a CNC milling maching project for a few months now. Origonally I wanted to use linear bearings for the axis, but found that they were too expensive. That is, unless you purchased them from China, and then it could take a month or more to get them, and the shipping cost added over 50% to the price! So I gave up on it. Then I came accross KCLinear. They have prices about the same as the Chinese, but they are here in the USA! Further, Ron, who is "the man" there, give excellent customer service, is very patient (I changed my order about 10 times), and gives great advice! Now I will admit, I was quite nervous about these things when I ordered them. I figured being so inexpensive (half what some other well known US suppliers are asking), these things would be junk. Nothing could be further from the truth. They are excellent! Very solid, no play or slop at all, and dead nuts accurate. I'm thrilled with them. No, I'm not in any way affilliated with this supplier. I've been looking for good price on bearings such as this for months, and have only been able to find old used items, and it was frustrating. I'm hoping I can save someone my frustration. I thought that there might be some other folks out there looking for a cost effective high precision solution for their project, so I posted this bearing to help them with their design. This one is for a 25mm rod, and I will be posting versions for a 20mm rod and a 20mm split bearing for a 20mm supported rod.
