The G+ Makibox user group discussion revealed a design for hanging a fan on the hot end, while another option suggested using an aquarium air pump. A board-powered fan can reduce one AC plug, but it adds weight to the print head. Consequently, I developed a template to attach a nozzle to the fan, inspired by Pensee's model. However, good feedback from the G+ page highlighted that a normal CPU-style fan might not generate enough airflow for the tiny airline hose outlet. The Sketchup-designed template is manifold and needs scaling down to 1/10th of its original size. Future plans include creating brackets to mount fans on printers, templates for larger fans, and a printable airflow director along the hot end.
