Use your old 250ml cans to purify water with this solar still 3D print harnessing the power of direct sunlight. Benefits: Harness the energy of the sun to purify or desalinate water; Upcycle used 250ml beverage containers; Uses only 11 grams of PLA filament; Prints easily (no advanced settings or support material required); Ideal for preppers and survivalists; On a sunny day, I used one of these stills to purify 150 ml of water in just four hours. Instructions: Print the solar still and rim using standard settings for PLA filament. No support material is needed; Remove the top of your 250ml can with a can opener and clean up the rim with scissors; Fold saran wrap over the still frame, securing it in place with the rim; Trim excess saran wrap with scissors; Optionally, insert a 1/4" vinyl tube into the drip hole on the bottom of the still to direct purified water into a catch basin for drinking; Fill the can with salty or dirty water, place the still on top and position in direct sunlight. Caution: I cannot guarantee that water will be completely pure or safe to drink.
