250 toolless quadcopter racer (2x print)
thingiverse
Simplistic, tool-less 250-sized racer. Designed as straightforward and hassle-free as possible for in-field part replacement. Entire frame relies on zip-ties to hold it together, along with every component attached. Take a hard hit and break an arm (a common occurrence when flying these small speedsters), simply snip off the broken part, remove, then zip on the new one - you're good to go again. I've printed only one set so far, and I'm really pleased with how solidly the parts fit together; there shouldn't be any issue with slop between the parts once tied up with zip-ties. I haven't got a full set of high Kv motors and small-sized ESCs available right now, so won't be able to complete and fly till I sort out a couple more sets. But since I've kept everything simple and uncomplicated, I can see no issues when I eventually put it in the air. Print Settings Printer: Collido Print-Rite DIY Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 30 Notes: Although I feel the Infill setting is sufficient, some might prefer a higher density to eliminate any minor twist the frame might have (I don't see much, if any, with a frame this compact, but you never know till it's flown).
