24h Chromatic Clock
thingiverse
This 24h clock does not refer to time through figures but trough a chromatic scale! The objective of this object is to see what happen when we orient in time using another referent, in this case, a relative referent: every people see the colors slightly (or harshly) different. I thought it was a way to play with our brain’s connections and above all showing that the object we design (or just use) have an influence on us, on our behaviors, on our language and maybe, in our perceptions?? > The material you need: - a 4mm wide wooden board (600X800mm is enough) - a 1mm wide polystyrene board (400X400) - wood glue - double-sided tape (thinnest as possible) - a 24h clock mechanism > Example of 24h clock: https://gibraltar.desertcart.com/products/56108091-fishtec-24-hours-clock-ultra-accurate-easy-reading-30-cm (be careful with the piece’s size, you should have to readjust the .dfx file) > This video can help you to design your own chromatic wheel in Illustrator: https://vimeo.com/173471922 (the video is in French but each steps are well detailed) > If you want to share your experience you can do it in Instagram with the #futurodeltiempo
