This is gas spring setup require no drilling or modifications, when torsion spring is removed. If you install an intercooler, the spring have to be removed. I have carbon hood and used two 50N gas springs. To use this for a steel hood, the lower angle bar bracket needs to be stiffened, to deal with the extra gas spring forces. This setup also gives you two positions for hood lift. Pic 456.jpg shows the low lift position. Pic 789.jpg is the high lift position. Quite happy with the design due to no drilling or cutting.
