October 20213D models for the 24-Hour Game Jam event.We won 2nd place of about 10 teams with the videogame we made.I did the modeling, these are the space-ships.Unfortunately, the models had to be recolored when converted into STL's to convert into game-models.But I made the models easy to re-color since everything would be converted into colorless triangles.Also most 'thrusters' were added post-conversion due to ease of just adding in some cones at the back of each ship.The Purple Triangle was inspired by the spaceship in the game "Asteroids" and is the vessel you would control. I used geometry to form interesting shapes for maximum complexity.The "Double-Indented" areas indicate the real windows, plus that would've taken too long to do on every surface.Fun fact, the Oval-shaped spaceship has the most polygons and the Purple-Triangle had the least. This was your cargo ship that you had to protect from asteroids and two types of enemies.Based on the type of cargo you were protecting, the enemies would be given a suitably funny name.Active enemy 2 would dock with your cargo ship to steal supplies, reducing your health.Active enemy 1 would attack your cargo ship with lasers, reducing your health.Asteroids (Spheres) would crash into your cargo ship, reducing your health.Your goal was to protect the cargo ship with lasers until you reached Mars, the game was designed to take a few attempts to complete. A full run took maybe 5 minutes.
