I've got a bunch of USB power banks lying around, but even my biggest one, a 20,000mah pack, kicked the bucket after just a few days away camping. I needed something that would last way longer. Following some online tutorials on how to DIY a power bank was a breeze to do, and this project is no exception. The case comes equipped with all the holes you need for a on/off button, a charger port, an LCD battery level indicator, and 4x USB ports. All those extra components are linked below. To build the power bank's electronics, I used this guide: https://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-Professional-18650-Battery-Pack/ 04/15/19 - I added two different lid designs with some vent holes in them. The power bank doesn't get hot, but the vents save on plastic and add a bit of style to it. 10/08/19 - I designed an alternative version that's compatible with the Vruzend battery connection system, allowing people without spot welders to build their own packs!
