And his Rotting Bloodwing   Description Lotharius If someone is worth mentioning in the history books, it is definitely Lotharius Sanguinaar. This great Vastari is the sole reason that the Vastari can call themselves an empire. He began his life as a follower of the Blood Serpent God, Sanguis. As a devoted follower of his god, he received many whispers and visions, how his people have the potential to rule the world, how great powers lie within their bloodstreams. Lotharius listened to all of it and spoke of it as great truths to all who listened.  As the Lotharius gained more followers from his speeches, he slowly transitioned from a devoted priest with visions about a great future, to a general giving war speeches to his army about conquering new lands. It seemed as if this was the true call of the Vastari, Conquering, and Ruling. With Lotharius in the front, the Vastari claimed land after land, fortress after fortress, and before they knew it, they ruled over a whole continent in less than a decade.  After taking over the Great Elven Capital, Wrinasheer. Lotharius deemed this city worthy as the Capital of the Vastari Empire and renamed it the Crimson Bastion. For a long time, Lotharius grew more and more power-hungry, greedy, and somewhat delusional, only listening to the whispers of the blood serpent.  His people slowly realized that Lotharius, despite his great deeds for the Empire, isn't fit to rule. A great conqueror, but a terrible leader. His council began to plan his dethroning in secrets, and before Lotharius became suspicious, he was assassinated by his own subordinates. They gave him the greatest funeral ever seen, statues rose in his image all over the Empire as a salute to his deeds. But a new leader had to be found, and so began a new story that we aren't telling here.  Alone in the mist. the Realm of the Graveborn, Lotharius walked for an eternity. He quickly learned about the laws of the realm, consume or be consumed, and Lotharius being who he is, he quickly climbed his way to the top, from a Mistwalker to a Graveborn, to a Gravelord.He regained his strength and memory and more gained even more power from the Graverealm. With immense blood magic pumping through his veins, he managed to create a new army solely with blood magic, and with that, he stood tall and proud once more. But now he needed to find a way back. When he ruled the Vastari, he spent most of his time experimenting with his blood magic. The most brilliant invention was the Anima Wells. He wanted to find a way to easily replenish himself, so he was always at the top. Through a combination of blood and soul magic, he created a well, full of powerful energy that replenished those that drank from it, also curing wounds. After he was assassinated, the Vastari expanded on this well to reach the entire capital, and later most of the continent, an incredible complex tunnel system of Anima flowing through the entire nation to replenish Inhabitants, and even the nature and wildlife around it. One of their greatest accomplishments in history.  As Lotharius was looking for a way back, he suddenly had a tingling sensation, a taste he hadn't had in a long time. With his many years of experience with visions and spiritual journeys with the Blood Serpent, he could suddenly feel a drop of Anima. He was close.  He spent many days trying to come closer to this Anima Aura, most of the time without luck. But after days of searching, he could touch it. Right in front of him, he saw a long string of Anima, there was no doubt, this was his own creation. His spirit followed the string for days, seemingly leading nowhere, just a big labyrinth of energy, like a big ball of curled string, trying to find an end. After some thoughts about what to do, he tried to plant a seed from his realm into the string, which quickly merged with the Anima. The energy turned black and started spreading, for a moment he regretted his decision, in fear of ruining his own creation. But as he finished that thought, he could see, everything. He saw a path to his first Anima well, he saw, panic, chaos, corruption, he did something to the well that weakened them, and now he could see everything that was happening. He returned to his body, and let the seed do its thing for some time.   With the Anima system and the Empire weakened, Lotharius has now connected his realm to the strings, giving him the ability to create small portals between his realm and the Vastari Empire. Invading city after city once again but through portals. Lotharius conquered this continent once, and he will certainly do it again with his newfound powers.   Rotting Bloodwing Ancient souls are rarely recycled by the Soulmother, as there is very little left of the soul to pass on, hence why most Vastari and other ancient beings go to the Graverealm. Dragons are among those ancient beings, and their soul is a force within itself. Most of them have no issue climbing to the top in the Graverealm because of their immense power from the very beginning. But yet, Lotharius was still able to overthrow a couple of dragons and tame them. Fusing his soul with the dragons, he turns them into a Dragon of the Blood aspect. Giving them potent regenerative abilities, and highly acidic blood. Withering and melting any mortal's skin by the touch.Yet, when the Bloodwings entered the mortal realm, their bodies started to rot away, but with their great regenerative blood, they are constantly in a state between decay and regeneration. Curing this state is on Lotharius top list when he has conquered the Vastari Empire, but for now, they seem to withstand the rot.   Details This model comes with an unsupported and presupported version.
