I needed better weight distribution for my Silverstone SG13 Itx case. The motherboard, mounted directly to the bottom, which is thin metal, flexes enough to loosen the screws during transport. Since I transport my computer every day, I couldn't rely on the ridiculously poorly positioned rubber pads that came with the case. The rails shifted the weight distribution from the bottom of the case to its outer edges, minimizing flex and stress on the motherboard. These can be used for any application and can easily be lengthened or shortened. I'm sure there are plenty of variations out there but I wanted something designed specifically for my case so I went ahead with it. I printed the inserts with TPU, which produced fantastic results. The TPU is naturally grippy and very durable. The rails were printed with PLA+, which provides excellent strength and rigidity. This should print well with a multitude of variable settings. I personally printed both with 10% infill overlap.
