The high-magnification stereo zoom microscope I acquired recently arrived with 30 millimeter diameter eyepieces. In addition, I obtained a separate set of eyepieces, which measured 23mm in diameter. As a result, I engineered the converter that accompanies this response so that it can accommodate 23 millimeter diameter eyepieces within the microscope. Due to the inherent properties of the filament used, there will be contraction - mine were fabricated using Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS). The outer circumference of the printed pieces fit comfortably inside the microscope's opening. On the other hand, the internal circumference had to undergo sanding to achieve a suitable fit. Using a cylindrical segment of fine-grained abrasive paper can effectively enlarge the internal diameter. The fortunate consequence of this sanding process is that it produced an exceptionally precise and snug fit for 23mm diameter eyepieces.
