Many bikes have a guard to keep the chain from coming off the big ring. This is designed to keep the chain from falling off the small ring. YES... you should have good gear and be tuned right, but sometimes a hard smack could knock the chain off regardless. THAT will stop you dead in your tracks and jack things up. This is designed to be attached to the inside of your 22T cog. I threaded some screws to the inside of the cog fasteners inside hole. You'll have to take your crank off to install as I never got around to a split model. (I converted to a 1 x11 anyway) This print was done on a Form2 SLA printer with Draft resin. Your results may vary on your printer.
