22mm Tube/Conduit Clamp - "F" Style - as long as you want it to be
prusaprinters

MStence made a very nice design of a clamp (F-style as found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2767847) that fits on standard 3/4" conduit. By applying standard conduit / tube you can make a very long clamp to keep over-sized stuff together. Once I printed MStence's design I set out to buy some 3/4" conduit / pipe but it proved that this size is hard to get in DIY shops in The Netherlands.... Maybe I should have checked that before I started printing.... ;-)

22mm OD tube/conduit on the otherhand is easy to get your hands on in Europe - or at least in The Netherlands; either standard general purpose construction tube or 22 mm central heating tubing and hence I redesigned the key components to 22 mm. In addition I changed the designs such that the clamp can be assembled with metric bolts and nuts.

You will need:

1x M6 x 40mm bolt & M6 locking nut

1x M4x15mm bolt and M4 nut

and of course a piece of 22mm tube with a length of your choice :-)
I kept the naming convention the same as per the original design and added the mm sizes to the file names of the changed parts. The 'Screw', 'Screw Pad' and 'Live end Catch' are the original designs and are included for convenience. Credits to MStence for the original design.

Print instructions

Unassociated tags: long clamp

Category: Hand Tools Print Settings

Printer Brand: Prusa

Printer: i3 MK3

Rafts: No

Supports: No

Resolution: 0.2

Infill: 20%

Notes:

I have printed my clamp in Formfutura's Carbon fill (HDGlass PETG with carbon fibers).
The clamp is really rigid and strong - though I have not tested how much force it can take, it will at least be sufficient for my purpose.

If you use enough perimeters and bottom and top layers (all 6 in my case) I guess that 20% infill is enough, but obviously choose as you like.
