22mm scooter handlebar replacement end caps - flush fit - Hudora 1424*

A friend requested me to design new handlebar end caps to secure the rubber band holding her detachable scooter handlebars in place. The recessed area conceals the rubber band's knot, while the chamfer guides it through during assembly. She needed end caps that could be hidden beneath grips without openings at the ends. I aimed to achieve this with a straightforward design. The fit is loose within the handlebar pipe, but the rubber band's tension and the grip's installation after these components are fitted minimize any issues. The smaller diameter is 18mm, whereas my available handlebar had an inner diameter of 19mm. This design uses slightly less material, which may be a consideration. I also created a second version designed to fit 19mm handlebar holes. It's shorter, has more cutaway material, and provides additional room for the rubber band's knot. The extra cutaway enhances friction-fitting it into place.
