22mm cement nozzle for silicon cartridge

22 mm Nozzle for Standard Silicone Cartridge to Use with Cement. We reside in a building over 100 years old, featuring gaps and holes between bricks on its outer wall. This reality means that mice sometimes inhabit the wall. Sometimes it's impossible to fill small holes properly with cement using a trowel. So I created this slide-on nozzle to utilize an empty silicone cartridge for pressing cement into mouse holes. The nozzle is designed to fit standard 49mm silicone or acrylic cartridges, conforming to German standards. I'm unsure if the size differs in the U.S. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Ormerod 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.28 mm Infill: 100% Notes: I printed without support, resulting in some filament dripping when printing the "ceiling" between the rim and nozzle. I sanded it off using my Dremel. Perhaps it's better to print this with support. Instructions Assembly Instructions Use a silicone or acrylic cartridge still containing leftover material but not dried out yet. Push out all leftover material (remove the original nozzle first). Push out the piston (e.g., using a long enough steel rod that fits through the original nozzle hole). Cut off the top, leaving you with a blank tube. Slide on the printed nozzle; it's a tight fit. Usage Note: Make sure the mouse hole is abandoned before filling it with cement. If there are still living rodents inside, they might eat their way through the wall elsewhere or worse - die in the wall. Even pest rodents shouldn't suffer unnecessarily, and you certainly don't want to experience the smell of a rotting mouse in the wall. Slide the nozzle onto the cartridge (to prevent it from falling off under pressure, you can glue it on or drill small holes and use screws). Put some tape over the nozzle to seal it while filling the cartridge. Mix the cement and fill it in. Knock it on the workbench a few times to ensure the cement goes down all the way and reduces air bubbles. Leave enough room for the piston to fit. Put the piston in and put the cartridge into your press. Remove the tape from the nozzle just before pressing the cement into the hole.
